Lane Scalpings
The club is now in possession of 3 tonne of road scalpings to spread on the lane leading to the club. I had been in contact with Robert to express our dismay at the deterioration of the track and the possible damage to members cars. During the discussion it was agreed, I had to make a quick decision without the backing of the committee, that Robert would fill the holes with a base layer if we supplied the top one. Simon organised the scalpings which we have secured at a very reasonable rate and these are now awaiting scattering. Perhaps we could organise a work party to fulfil this role.

Re: Lane Scalpings
Might be an idea if there is a work party, if we could get a wacker plate for going over the infill?

The area that really needs the attention is near the road, where it was chewed up by that 360 when the ditch was done

Spoke to Robert today who said we can go down this Saturday 31st August. I will arrange to hire a whacker. Also, Mic came up with an idea to lay a bit of postcrete at the entrance where the large pot hole is. Hope to see you all then.

Not too sure if I'll be able to make this Saturday, need to get the Zaffi fixed (Mot) (or, failing that, get a bike on the road)

Think I might bring the camper van down and stay over, save having to go back and forth home.

Maybe re-arrange to a more suitable time for everyone? We should be available on the 21st Sept (post holiday).

Re: Lane Scalpings
Thanks Nat but I shall be away then. It's a bit tricky at the moment because the shotgunners are there every other week with Robert doing his lessons in between weeks. I then have to chat to him and, these days, he's not always there for an answer. I'm sure we can muddle through, after all, it's only 3 bags.

One of the things I was supposed to be doing tomorrow has been knocked on the head so I'll be able to make it up there.

Re: Lane Scalpings
Many thanks to Todd and Barry who, along with me, filled in many of the potholes in the lane, some members have been complaining about. Also, thanks must go to Ron and Anne who, despite health issues, still turned up to offer support, make the tea, and service numerous targets.
