I am organising a work party for Saturday, 8th June, 2013, 12.30 on. Much appreciated any help you can offer.
Jobs to do are: Todd wants to start on the course for the GP, this will entail weed/fern clearing, etc.
Also, the erection of posts for the gents urinal.

Re: Work Party
If you have any strimming equipment, that would be nice thanks Gerry.

Re: Work Party
We have the club strimmer anyway Gerry. The targets will have to go up reasonably high so they can be shot by anyone opting for the free-style position at the GP. Apart from one or two targets we still need to make them accessible for half-time painting. Some of you may think it a bit early to start on the GP course but, we have to make sure everything is right well before the event, certain lanes may need to be tweeked. Also, apart from the Saturday before the GP, the shotgunners are down every other week and I am away for two weeks starting the 15th June.

Re: Work Party
I'll still bring the blades, I find them useful even when our strimmers are fully working - I'll leave the scythe at home though, no need of it with a strimmer on hand.
I take it that the 'open' class will mean that one or two of our 'regular' firing points will have to be moved (the one just after the little 'dell' is one that springs to mind)

Re: Work Party
Many thanks to the members who turned up Saturday for the work party. The framework for the new gents urinal is up and a start made on the GP course. Apologies to all who complained it was too long for a club day shoot, but it was intended to iron out any potential problems. However, no such problems for John Curtis who cleared it.

Re: Work Party
Just thought, I know you asked about a strimmer for the Saturday prior to the GP, and as I said mine isn't working at the moment, but how much undergrowth will need clearing? As I can bring something that will do the job, so long as it isn't brambles/old branches/wood - it'll definitely clear bracken
