The pistol range

Postby SteveC » 16 Jun 2012, 16:41

Is now open for business! :)

We've cleared the rubbish away and put a few plinking targets out and a couple of T posts to clip paper targets to but if theres any suggestions for improvement please let us know.

Please note that if you are using a BB pistol then safety glasses will be required by ALL shooters on the range due to the likelyhood of ricochets.

Just need mine to turn up now. Hopefully by the end of the week.

We need to put up a couple of re-set targets up on the brackets mounted on the tree and perhaps a few targets on the ground at closer ranges.

Delivered today and have been playing with it most of the afternoon :D

After a little adjustment to the trigger and grip, I'm well happy with it and been shooting some reasonable groups at 10 yards. I did do five shots within about 15mm and then had to go a spoil by having another shot  I need to give the barrel a pull through as the felt pellets fired through it were filthy :!:

Looking forward to having a go on the range Sunday.

Shame about the 'comment' today, but looking at it, possibly some shower curtains along that side of the area?

I suggested a tarp with a rope threaded through it.

A reminder to those with the purse strings, we need some saftey glasses please !

And, are we going to allow BB on the range ??
With the hard back stop, they will bounce like hell.

I can always bring a BB along, gear up, shoot a load and see what happens before we make a decision.
What do others think :?:

Yeah, bring your BB along and we'll see what happens. If theres suddenly half a dozen people diving for the dirt then we might have to give them a miss.
