Has anyone got, or know of, an Air Arms S200 for sale. The club wishes to purchase one to be used by guests as an introduction to FT shooting. Please contact Barry Warren with details.

I think I know somebody with a S200T for sale, would obviously need to be 'tweaked' up to full power though.

Are you sure its only 6f/lbs ?
Two versions were sold, a 6 and 12 f/lbs.

I guess it would just be a hammer and hammer spring, but I don't know for sure. If its pre AT, shouldn't be a big problem :|

Bloke bought it for his daughter, but she didn't get on with the dioptre sights, so he was looking at selling it, I thought that as it was a S200T, then it'd be 6fpe

It's a Mk11, (so pre anti tamper) with the screw in adjuster for power, currently set at 6fpe (he said he'll have a look at it tomorrow, to see what it'll wind up to)

Ok, have done a lot of research and found the cheapest S200 to buy new is from The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh at a cost of £389. We would obviously have to collect it too. Further to that I have also looked at second-hand ones, generally they are going for £250 to £300 but, once again, buyer has to collect. I did talk to a chap in Lincolnshire who had an old 2-piece stock version for sale. He was prepared to post it at a cost of £20 on top of the £270 asking price. Don't like the idea of not trying before buying. I think Alan's one sounds ideal, subject to testing.

Definately think we should try Alan's before anything else. Hopefully he will be down the club shortly.

Bit concerned to hear an S200 will struggle to get 30 good shots from it. Having seen young Jacob shoot his dad's 400 with a bi-pod, do you think this a better option. Also, they are easier to find at a reasonable price.

Yes,having talked to Andy and Mick on Sunday the 200 does not seem to meet the needs.Mick had one and got rid of it,plus Alan had some problems!Suggest the 400 is the way to go.

If we get an S400 perhaps we should keep an eye open for a cheap stock to be butchered down to child size.

400 stocks come up all the time. We could even have a spare left handed one ???
